Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you practice?

My practice is predominantly virtual with the opportunity to have in person appointments as well. If you live outside the state of Virginia you will require an in person appointment to begin a relationship with me. Working through the pandemic I have realized that many patients appreciate the convenience of seeing me by telemedicine and that I am still able to provide a highly interactive level of care and connect on an extremely personal level!

What  group of patients do you see?

I see both men and women aged 16 years and older.

Can you be my primary care provider?

I cannot be your primary care provider. I do not offer physical exams, health screening exams, or diagnostic imaging. My goal is to work in conjunction with your primary care provider, specialist, or OB-GYN to optimize your care and improve your health and quality of life.

Can you prescribe medications?

Yes! I function autonomously in Virginia and am able to prescribe both medications and integrative treatments as necessary.

Do you participate with insurance?

I do not contract with any insurance companies and I am not a participating provider with Medicare or Medicaid. I am able to provide you with a superbill of your visit that you can submit to your insurance company if you are a member of a private payor insurance group that is not Medicare or Medicaid. I am also able to order lab testing that can be sent through laboratories that are part of your routine insurance coverage.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. You must give notice 24 business hours prior to your appointment that you would like to cancel or reschedule. You can reach us through the patient portal or by voicemail or email. Should 24 business hours notice not be provided to cancel or reschedule a follow up visit, we will charge a $100 insufficient notice fee.
